I cannot fathom how people can watch this show and think Dean and Cas are platonic.

Just in the way they look at each other, I have never seen a better portrayal of sexual attraction, chemistry, and eventually also pure love.

Sure, Sam’s eyebrows shoot to his hairline once Dean starts losing patience and rifling through Cas’s pockets whenever Cas can’t find something.

But they practically jump off his head and shoot up to the clouds when Dean starts storing his own shit in Cas’s pockets. Receipts, spare change, gloves, pens, knives, other random weapons, pamphlets, folded-up restaurant menus, maps, knickknacks, his own fucking wallet.

so I’m just sitting here thinking about frankenstein as one does, and like. the fact that in the book the monster was designed to be beautiful. he was made up of the most perfect components victor could get his freaky little hands on. he was only horrifying once he was animated into a living person and the uncanny valley set in. which made me think about the way actors look in movies now with their impossible physiques that are actively harmful to maintain and the weird sterility of it all, and also how some sims 4 creators get so obsessed with maximizing the conventionally attractive traits of their sims that they lose all sense of what a human being looks like and end up making absolutely freakish body presets labeled as “realistic,” and idk where I’m going with this but I think a director who wasn’t a coward could probably make a real interesting adaptation of frankenstein right now

dean the season prior when cas stole the colt hidden under dean’s pillow in his room and is passenger to kelly peeling tf out of there in the impala because he asked dean for the keys and dean gave them to him: he’s been having a rough time sam.

Remember how in the earlier seasons (I forget which episode) Dean told Cas that humans lie all the time when they want something really bad and Cas was like “But why tho?” and Dean was just like “Cause that’s how you become President.” Like imagine Cas just taking that statement and rolling with it and now everytime he or someone else catches Dean in a lie, in his mind Cas is like “wow he’s getting really close to being President. I wonder how many more lies he has to tell before he qualifies.” And then one day the rest of TFW catches Dean in a big lie and Cas is just like “So are you President now… or????” and everyone else is just like “wtf????” while Dean blue screens into the distance.

Once again thinking about John’s appraisal of Dean’s “killer” skills. And how Dean, Cas, and even Jack’s aptitude for “war” was recognized by the ppl around them + used to severely undercut their life paths. The “soldier aptitude” effectively worked on numbing what would otherwise be naturally big-hearted people.

They became load-bearing walls, protecting the ones they love. :(
